Group Volunteering

We hold group volunteering Saturdays from 9AM- 11AM. We begin by outlining safety precautions, followed by tackling chores such as cleaning coops, scrubbing bowls, mucking, sometimes other chores depending on the day. Then we spend the remaining 20 minutes visiting the animals.

Volunteer Days are open to all ages, making them a great opportunity for families to give back—just be sure kids are accompanied by an adult!

To schedule a big group volunteer day of 10+ people, for your business or group, please email us at info@sagemtn.org to coordinate. Thank you!

If you’re interested in regularly volunteering at Sage Mountain, see details about feeding below and fill out the form if you’re interested. Thank you!

  • Minimum 3 month commitment required. We accept regular volunteers under 3 months for regular group volunteer days (Saturday mornings).

  • Regular feeding shifts include feeding the 45 rescued animals of Sage Mountain and making sure they all have access to clean water. Shifts vary anywhere from 1-2 hours depending on the day/time.

  • Most people do once every week, once every other week is sometimes available but weekly is preferred.

  • You don’t have to have experience with farm animals. If you do, great! If not, we will train you on all of the tasks you’ll be doing and introduce you to the animals.
